I have wonderful and vivid memories of those cold and wet evenings as a child in which my brother, sister and I could not contain our eagerness to be there at that thrilling moment that the bonfire was lit. Standing as close as we were allowed and feeling the intense heat from the fire just built up the excitement during the wait for the next breathtaking moment that the Fireworks would be ‘let off’. And then that brief few minutes of spectacular rainbow s, bright flashing colours, crashes, bangs and shooting stars lit the night sky, and it would all then be over until the next year Wonderful memories that I will always cherish, despite the weathers best attempts to spoil them."
